Skull Wrench was a fun piece that I put together while on the road in Winnipeg building a very large meat processing plant; a long term build that saw me working 80 hour work weeks for months on end. I think it's safe to say I was not feeling very happy in my position at the time ;) Exhaustion and not seeing a light at the end of the tunnel will do that to a guy.
Parts of this piece were planned such as the wrench and the bandaged hand, while other parts were added later (the carnation and the pearl) because the composition felt like it was lacking something. In the end, the piece came together almost as if it were designed for a tattoo. Over all, a striking piece!
Skull Wrench is a gouache and ballpoint pen mixed media piece on illustration board, 7.5" x 9.5", matted, framed and ready to hang.
