A new piece in "The Truth About Cats and Pumpkins" series, "The Priest and the Pumpkin". Here I wanted to depict the idea of rapture when coming face to face with your God. In the eyes of the priest you can see what he's looking at, a magnificent, glowing, vibrant representation of what his faith seeks to justify, The Great Pumpkin! It makes his face glow and his whiskers sparkle. I sought to put an expression on his face of abandonment to the deepest form of love; a tear of joy running down his cheek. What do you think? Did I succeed? I've also hidden a myriad of symbols in the piece. See if you can find them all!
You can find a process video of this piece being painted here on my Red Fracture Youtube channel.
Acrylic and pencil on paper, 6.75" x 4.75", framed and ready to hang. Taxes included in the price.
